Malas

Our wrist malas are designed by our designer, Vanessa Leu, who has devoted her life to a deeper spiritual pursuit, especially in the understanding of Zen. Traditionally, malas were used to aid in the practice of meditation.

Our designer hopes to unite the trascendental Buddhist energies with modern style and to allow people to see religious beauty with a broader view--a beauty that can be united with current times. Wishgiving's Precious Malas are worn both as a spiritual reminder as well as a precious piece jewelry that won't be out of place in the events of everyday life.

To parallel Wishgiving's design philosophy, wrist malas are created with the intent to encourage an understanding of Eastern artistry and to deliver a sense of empowering blessings.

Empowering Your Spirituality
Because Vanessa understands that a mala bracelet is a very personal piece of jewelry that one wears for its blessings, she chooses high-grade gemstones that aren’t usually used in malas. Using high-grade gemstones is especially important in malas as better quality gemstones emit stronger energies that will aid in one’s spiritual practice. Vanessa designs Wishgiving’s malas with larger stones than most malas because larger stones also have stronger energies than smaller stones.   We suggest that you choose a mala that speaks to you, as gemstones often choose their wearer. Many times, the gemstones that you feel a connection with will be most beneficial to you.
